Time flies when you tear your ACL! I find it ironic that I wrote about people tearing their ACLs and then I ended up tearing mine February 11th. I tore my ACL and meniscus and partially tore my MCL and a tendon connecting my hamstring to the back of my knee. Fortunately, my parents were actually at the game (at USC) and my teammates were the best. I had surgery march 8th which was 2 days after my birthday. I had to push to get everything done for the semester but it worked!
This summer I worked at Granville Towers as a CA which proved to be a good life experience to say the least. I definitely have a better appreciation for a wide variety of things. I also got to meet Anson Dorrance and became friends with a lot of different people because of my work there! I did however miss my friends from home. But on the plus side I received free PT with Chris Hirth who is the Men’s Basketball Head Athletic trainer!! Doesnt get much better than that.
The school year officially started yesterday and with fall fest being cancelled and me being a co recruitment chair, I have had a lot on my plate this week. But it has been enjoyable and we are making lemonade out of lemons. Tonight is our interest meeting for rugby and I’m hoping people will show up!
In other news, I am a sophomore and I am excited to see what this year has to offer and what I have to offer it.
